iPhone's 9:42 AM Time Mystery Solved

Do you remember the ads of analogue watches with their hands showing 10 minutes past ten and thirty seconds? Well if not next time see that hands of an ordinary watch always show this time.

But here is another fact too: The Apple's iPhone always show the time as 9:42 - Ever wondered why? Well I am sure you would not have as many would not have noticed it - rather they concentrate more on the apps and look of the iPhone rather than the time.

But a few inquisitives did notice it and tried to find an answer to this mystery.

Recently the question of 9:42 AM time mystery was asked form Scott Forstall, senior vice president of iPhone software and here is what he has to say about the iPhone Standard Time:
"We design the (product launch) keynotes so that the big reveal of the product happens around 40 minutes into the presentation. When the big image of the product appears on screen, we want the time shown to be close to the actual time on the audience's watches. But we know we won't hit 40 minutes exactly."
And what about iPad? Well it shows 9:41 AM for the same very reason.

Updated now on Apple's Standard timings for iPhone and iPads? Well you should be as the mystery finally is resolved - in case you noticed it!!
