LG Optimus G Pro to Make its Debut on May 1 in NYC

We have had almost all major flag carriers unveiled except Apple and LG. While Apple's iPhone 5S and next gen iDevice seem to be on the hold, LG has sent out invites last week for an upcoming event to be held in New York City on May 1, which makes us speculate the possible launch of its phablet, Optimus G Pro.

However, yesterday LG has finally revealed the mystery by unveiling the debut of its own version of Galaxy Note 2 competitor, in a media invite.

The invite also promises a concert event featuring performance of a band “Atlas Genius”.

Judging from the fact that LG’s rival smartphone manufacturers have already brought their flagship devices, like HTC One, Galaxy S4 etc. to the U.S. market, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for LG to bring its big guns to provide consumers with more choice before they get stuck on contract with other smartphones.

LG Optimus G Pro comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel camera and smart Video eye recognition feature.
