Samsung likely to release a 'Stand-Alone' Smartwatch

It may be rumor for the time being, but it seems that South Korean tech giant is all set to release a stand-alone smartwatch in just months time.

The design of a new samrtwatch by Samsung, as seen above,  has appeared in a publication of United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).The patent suggests Samsung's new smartwatch will have a round face resembling Motorola's Android Wear powered Moto 360.

The unnamed smartwatch will be able to take photos, send emails, monitor the wearer’s heart rate and use GPS tracking, according to sources close to the company.

It may be added that Samsung already has four smart watches on the market, including the Galaxy Gear, powered by Google's Android operating system, and the Gear 2.
