Galaxy S4 tops AnTuTu Benchmark

Samsung's 2013 flagship Galaxy S4 has topped the AnTuTu’s report on hardware performance of smartphones that analyses data from the first six months of the year 2013.

Galaxy S4 with its octa-core Exynos processor has been consistently beating all other smartphones in benchmark performance. In fact, even the second position is held by the Galaxy S4 – the quad-core Snapdragon 600 variant also beat other smartphones running the same chip (like the HTC One), mainly thanks to a higher clock speed.

As can be seen from the above benchmark graph, Xiaomi MI-2s and the HTC One took the third and fourth spot, respectively.

The report also categorises the results in terms of popularity in select Asian markets, and the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note II took the first or second spots in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, while losing out to the Sony Xperia Z and Nexus 7 in Japan.
