It has been learnt that Apple is going to release a new version of the MacBook Air next week.

The release is to coincide with the next week's Worldwide Developers Conference, reports 9To5Mac.

The new MacBook Air will be running on Intel's new "Haswell" chip which delivers better battery life. Beside, it  is likely to have have high-definition front facing cameras and improved microphones for video chatting. A Faster WiFi could also be a part of the refresh.

Apple is also likely to announce iOS 7, OS X 10.9, and a Pandora-competitor at its developer conference. Apple’s keynote begins at 10 AM Pacific / 1PM Eastern.

It is also reported that Apple could drop the price slightly of the high-end MacBook Air in some countries. Some of the new MacBook Air SKUs are already shipping to stores around the world, so it is likely that they will go on sale soon after the announcement.
