Motorola Chooses Fort Worth For the 'First U.S.Made' Phone

It may come as a surprise to many that there are more than 130 million smartphones in the USA - but none is exclusively made in the USA.

And Motorola is set to make the beginning by choosing Fort Worth to launch its Moto X - the First US Made Phone ever.

This has been disclosed by Mark Randall, who is Motorola’s senior vice president of supply chain and operations. He says rival companies have shied away from manufacturing here in recent years because of high labor costs. But those are dropping, and Google-owned Motorola sees other advantages.

Although Motorola has not have much of market as its competitors are much stronger, it seems this is a deliberate attempt by Motorola to appeal the nationalism and patriotism of the US consumer market to boost its sales.
