Instabeat is the swimmers' Google Glass

Google glass has already made headlines since its introduction. But it only provides you with directions and calculates distances from present to future locations and many more add-ons.

But what do you do if you are a swimmer? Would Google Glass be of any help?

Well certainly not - but there is one gadget that is of immence help to swimmers - something that continously calculates your heart rate, lapses and turns during the sim - and even lets you know hoe many calories have you burnt.

Surprised? Well don't be as 'Instabeat' is one such gadget which a swimmer can wear on any type of headgear while swimming and keep him/her updated about essential things one may be most interested in while swimming.

Instabeat reads your heart rate from the temporal artery, getting rid of the (oh, so annoying) chest belt - and projects a color on your lenses in real-time to know how close you are from your target zone.

This sleek designed gadget weighs only 30 g and calculates heart rate to an accuracy of 97%. It has a rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery that lasts 8 hours.
