So the wait is over and so it brings an end to endless speculations, predictions, gossips and rumors.

Samsung’s president JK Shin takes two models (black and white) of the new Galaxy S4 out of a box on stage: the leaked photos were bang on. It’s a slimmer version of the S3.

The impressive launch ceremony of Samsung's 2013 flagship Galaxy S4 finally ends to all speculations and comes out clear in the open. Laced with high-end hardware features and a strong battery to support, the S4 seems a mighty smartphone.

The hardware specs of Galaxy S4 are:

Other feature include:

It sure does have a dual camera (13-megapixel rear-facing camera/2-megapixel front-facing camera) that allows users to video themselves in-screen while shooting footage of friends/family; allows video callers to see person placing the call and who/what's with them. Dual-camera video recording allows shoot yourself in-screen with the front-facing camera while you shoot subjects with the rear-facing camera.

You may hover fingers over screen to get a preview of emails, images or video from the home screen  without having to open them.

Samsung Knox Feature first introduced on BlackBerry devices which allows work and personal content to be kept separate on handset.
And one of the best feature is the S Translator: This  built-in translation service provides speech-to-text or text-to-speech facility in nine different languages - including Chinese, Japanese, French, German and, of course, English. The translator works even when not connected to a network.

S Health – calorie counter, heart-rate monitor, and blood pressure/sugar monitoring with extra dongles.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 will be available in the UK from 26 April, on all major networks. It will also be available to buy from the Samsung Experience Store at Westfield shopping centre in Stratford, London.

Now one thing that looms over the mind of Samsung lovers: Would Samsung retain the S III as a cheaper alternative to the new S4, or simply fades it out after existing stocks are depleted.

We now wait for bench marking analysis of the S 4 and see what actually lies inside this high end smartphone of the year  - so far!!
