Hateful Tweets after Obama's Re-election


While the rest of the America celebrated the re-election of Obama as the president of USA for the second term, the social media network of Twitter witnessed a large number of hateful and racist messages against the black Obama. The expression of racist hate was generally from states / areas that have a majority of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney voters and loyalists.

A map collected by Floating Sheep shows the shocking demographic of racist 'hate tweets,' many of them collected from states that were won by Romney.

Expressing their frustration and disappointment elegantly, many Twitter users instead used the platform to post shockingly racist tweets, calling President Obama a ‘n*****’ and a ‘monkey.’
