US fears hacking of federal government computers

In  a recent report, US has blamed China for hacking of federal government computers, thus compromising records of millions of employees. The 'stolen' or the 'hacked' data includes birthdays, addresses, bank information, and other personal data.

As a precautionary measure, four million current and former US government employees are being told to take precautions.

At a White House briefing on Friday, a spokesman said the US faced a "dedicated adversary", and the question of who carried out the attack was the focus of an ongoing FBI investigation.

However, China has denied there was any official involvement in the attack.
