Software update for Samsung Galaxy S4 (in Germany only)

Germany gets the priority in getting the software update for Galaxy S4 GT-I9505.

The update reportedly brings Apps to SD card support as well as a new camera firmware. It is around 366 MB in size.

However, the full change-log is not available right now but as per online reports, this I9505XXUBMEA update is meant to solve the internal storage woes of the consumers. With the current update, consumers will be able to save or move applications from internal storage to SD card, which is positive addition.

The update will clear up some internal storage on the phone – with this clearing up, the total free on-board storage will now be around 9.23 GB - instead of 9.15 GB previously (though not much of clearing up of memory).

The S4 camera also receives a firmware update, so now the smartphone can perhaps make better photos.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) variant in China has also got a software update (I9500ZCUAME5), however, there’s no details on the changes whatsoever.

The update can be downloaded live via Kies and over-the-air.
