Apple has unveiled something that ditches classic interface and brings in something new - a bold step away from previous versions and coming up with a 'clean and flat' designed by Sir Jonathan Ive. Apple's iOS 7 was announced at its annual WWDC in San Francisco. Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering.
Besides, Apple also unveiled new music streaming service called iTunes Radio - two new MacBook Air models available from today with improved battery life.
But doesn't all these features are there in Samsung Galaxy? While hurried critics' response is not in favour of the new software unveiled by Apple, who claim that new design could backfire by confusing users - while others claim it loses Apple's distinct character in favour of a generic Android look. One critic said: The icons look childlike and amateurish!
And the impact on stock market was graver for Apple - Apple's stocks dropped by around $3 to $438.89.
The iOS 7 design - which will be available in the autumn - is the first major change to the operating system since Ive was put in charge of software last October.
