There are leaked news that Google is up to redesigning its Gmail app for Android in the coming days.

The screenshots have been released by Android Police show that Google has added navigation pane instead of the drop-down menu in the current Gmail app. Also the bottom action bar has been removed and some of its options have been moved to the top nav bar.

However, it's a shame we can't see more of the Inbox, but it looks like the stars are now much bigger. This screenshot has 24 hour time enabled, which is the cause of all the leading zeros on the time stamps, says Ron Amadeo at Android Police.
