Our last post on the Evasi0n update was on the version 1.3. for iOS 6.1.1 Now here is good new as Apple on 19th February seeded iOS 6.1.2 and the evad3rs without wasting any time have released an updated evasi0n version 1.4 to include jailbreak support for the newly baked iOS.
Even though the latest iOS 6.1.2 fixes bugs related to Exchange Calender and Passcode issues, it doesn't patch up the exploits used by evad3rs in their evasi0n jailbreak tool. The only problem with the previous version of evasi0n was that it couldn't recognize the newly released iOS 6.1.2 IPSW.
So if you’ve update your device to iOS 6.1.2, you’ll need the latest evasi0n version to jailbreak your device. In case you’re still on iOS 6.1.1 and don’t need to update then there’s no use of downloading the current version of evasi0n, writes Wahaab JB at Chip Hazard.
