BlackBerry 10 a hit: boasts CEO

The BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins has boasted that the white BlackBerry Z10 is already sold out in UK and that sales in UK are 'very encouraging.'

The new BlackBerry phones were launched in the UK just last week, after excruciating delays allowed Apple, Samsung and others to build commanding leads in the industry.

Heins is reported to have said that he was confident that Blackberry could make up ground lost to Apple and Android.

BlackBerry's new Z10 handsets do not have a home button, instead using a user's thumb to 'flick' across the screen.

The new BlackBerry 10 OS also boasts a new feature called balance to switch between a personal and business mode - each with its own applications, wallpaper and settings.

Heins confided that a substantial number of UK users were moving from other platforms to BlackBerry, which according to him is an encouraging sign because they first targeted long-time BlackBerry users.
