Shoelaces that tie automatically

There is no limit to one's imagination, specially when it comes to gadgets and use of emerging technologies. One of the latest scientific achievement by German scientists are the shoelaces that tie themselves automatically.

Scientists at University of Freiburg have developed these 'smart shoes' with sensors and motor that come to action when the wearer wears the shoes and these automatically tie up the laces to the entire comfort of the foot.

Simply slip the trainer on and pressure sensors will tell the ‘smart shoe’ when your foot is in position, triggering a tiny motor in the heel that pulls the laces tight.. An hour of walking is enough to tighten the laces once.

This just the beginning - Germans also developing footwear with compass and gyroscope.
