Acer Likely To Announce Wearable Tech Product In 2014

While much more has been speculated, rumored, said and heard about Apple's iWatch, it seems that Acer is going to take a lead in a wearable tech product ahead of Apple.

Recently, ST Liew, Acer’s president of its smartphone business group has been quoted as saying:

“We are looking at wearable, I think every consumer company should be looking at wearable."

“Wearable isn't new … it just hasn't exploded in the way that it should. But the opportunity’s for billions of dollars worth of industry.” 

Liew adds that he believes the problem lies more on finding the right product which would appeal with customers, and less to do with how to technically create a piece of wearable tech.

So let us wait and see how Acer lives up to its words, as against false words and expectation from Apple.
