The recently launched iPad Mini is now available in India online. This smaller iPad is available in 3 versions - 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, which are priced at Rs 26,990, Rs 34,990 and Rs 43,490, respectively; prices include all taxes.
However, it has not been clarified as to when the device will be officially launched in India. With a screen measuring 7.9 inches on the diagonal, the iPad Mini is about half the size of the regular iPad. It's slightly larger than the 7-inch tablets from Amazon.com Inc. and Google Inc. The regular iPad is 9.7 inches. With a 7.9-inch screen, the iPad Mini is said to be perfectly sized.
The new iPad Mini is 23 per cent thinner and 53 per cent lighter than the third generation iPad. The new iPad mini features FaceTime HD and iSight cameras. It is claimed to offer up to 10 hours of battery life.
